Implying that Lacey thinks masculinity is to blame for Jay's death justifies those parents' complaints, and completely goes against the message this episode is trying to convey, which is about toxic femininity, and how damaging it is for young girls who are pressured to look and act a certain way, and how those who don't meet these societal expectations are unfairly labeled as being problematic. 28:05 You were right the first time when you said it's all meant to be metaphorical. Rocio isn't LITERALLY trapped inside of the digital world she's created, because... well, that kind of technology literally doesn't exist, especially not in the mid 2000s.
